I feel behind on the Christmas spirit this year... We don't even have our lights up yet. And we put our Christmas tree in a really weird spot this year... it's supposed to go in the same spot every year. (Wow, how many times can I end a sentance with year in one paragraph?) Anywho, after we got all that furniture we inherrited last summer we didn't have room for the tree. There for, it's in a weird spot. And it's a new one, (Jasper broke our old one by climbing up it. He was WAY to fat to be doing that,) and it has new garland. And it's not as jam packed with ornaments me and my sisters made when we were like 5... yet... It just doesn't feel right! What ever happened to tradition!? haha.

I FINALLY GOT MY LISENSE!! I'm pretty much ecstatic right now! I passed with an 81!

Oh, and I just watched The Titanic all the way through for the first time, and I LOVE IT! So much! Dude, Jack's a beast! He didn't take crap from anybody! I love how all those jerks were like "Stay back, stay back!" And he was all "You best move out my way or Imma beat you down with this bench I just ripped from the wall!" That's downright determination right there. Pretty dang epic if you ask me. haha. I'd be pretty mad too if some idiot told me I just had to sit there and drown while the freaking ship was sinking! Let's just say I'd probably go psychotic and anyone standing in my way may or may not end up unconsious. Ohhhh yea! I said it!

The Hangover

Amanda, Becca, and Danielle all came home from college on labor day weekend. So we went to Burger King and they had free crowns! Yes! lol. Oh! And we played ninja on the side of the road! Also(more good news) I didn't have to run the meet today because it lightninged right before we ran! and I mean right before. We were lined up and everything.

Anyway I'm sure school will just keep getting better. I talked to your mother at church on Sunday and she said "Oh if you guys want to just hang out in the basement and watch movies you can." haha It was adorable. Oh and by the way all of my titles are going to be in like Hindi because I dont know how to change it :(

Hey guys! aha, i really hope you guys read the comments on our blog (and mine too) because thats how i respond to a lot of the posts and things when i dont have time to actually post anything.. ahh, well, im telling you now, so READ THEM! aha!

i love the new playlist, Sam! as youll read in my commment of that post, im sad the Bieber Fever is over because that made my life, buuuuut this is just as good :) as i also said, i love your short-lived music obsessions! i can never wait to hear the next one!

Okay, well lets get to the real reason for this post. Today was my first day at school, and boy oh boy, do i want to shoot myself now. not really, but i hope you can pick up on the sarcasm. lol. i didnt know what class level i was in or my electives! aha, can i get any dumber? but to my defense, my family never told me and i never thought to ask.. oh well, i suppose.. whats done is done, although once classes start i still have no idea what im doing. moving classroms? staying? who knows! i guess im just so used to South being so enthusiastic and, for a lack of a better word, "into" exchangers, that it was almost surprising when this school really isnt.. it was terrifying and embarrassing, but, im hoping that with time, it wont be so scary. i mean, i wasnt expecting a smooth ride, but you know.. :/

for now though, i just feel so out of place. this school is the best around, so thats a good thing. at least i know im getting a good education. social lives arent that important.. right? lol. and for your info, i would hardly call today "the first day," because there were no classes! aha. it was just to come, get in your classes, double check your schedule (that i still have to fix by the way), and then go home! i was there all but maybe 3 hours, at most. it was so different, but i did meet a few very nice and sympathetic people who helped me along the way. but guess whats the best part?? tomorrow, im goin' on a field trip! :) ahah! we're going to Ghent, or Gand as they say in French, which is a town/region in the Flemish part of Belgium. Gotta love field trips the second day of school, right? i know i dooo! ;)

i know i know, Sam and Kenzie (and others) you want pictures! ill be sure to put some up soon! but for right now, ill just add a post and hopefully it will suffice for a bit. :)

i want to see Vampires Suck too! it looks so funny! aha. i saw the Sorcerer's Apprentice in french (duh) the other day and that was.. interesting! aha. i have no hope for the future that i will ever be able to learn french well enough to watch a movie without english subtitles, which kinda stinks cause im in a french speaking country for a year... lol. ;)

yes, my family has horses and they are super cute! i already love them. i went to the market, and upon your request Sam and Mac, there were clothes, food (lots of fruits and veggies and candy, delicious Belgian foods, etc..), toys, lots of things really.. it was cool to just walk around and look at it all! aha! yes, i will defenitely show you my wonderful European clothes.. once i buy some. aha. i might even be both your best friend and send you some too! ;) lol.

well, what else was there... my family took me to McDonald's to eat a few night ago! aha! i thought that was awesome.. and i started to go to the gym with my sister in the evenings.. i know, right? me at a gym? the impossible has just become possible! aha! let me know which other questions you have :)

I'm not gunna lie, I'm already irritated with school. At this very moment I have chemistry homework that I should be doing, but I just can't find the will power to do it. It's 10:00 pm and my brain is already achedemically fried for tonight from math homework. (Haha, I rest my case! Notice how I spelled academically. Wow Sam.) So I decided to complain about it instead. I know, so much more productive and effective right?

Our first week of block scheduling starts tomorrow! I had it wrong, we have block scheduling on Wednesdays and Thursdays. I get out at 12:55 on Thursday! Incase you were wondering. lol.

So I'm really excited because today is a very special day. It is the 24th of Augest! And if you don't know why this day is so important, get off this blog!! Hehe, only kidding... sort of. The 3rd Hunger Games book, Mocking Jay, came out today! I can't wait to read it. I also really wanna see Vamires Suck. I'm a Twilight fan and everything, but that movie looks hilarious.

Someone else should post something (COUGH COUGH MACKENZIE) because I'm starting to feel like an idiot having the majority of the updates be mine...

1st Day Back at School

Katie, you left today and I'm hoping you're having a good trip so far. Good luck on all those airplanes! lol. And Mac, you have yet to post anything, just saying... lol.

Well today was my first day as a junior in highschool. Gosh, I feel old. It's way different this year because my school decided to make the schedule all wack. We have 7 hours a day now except block scheduling on Thursdays and Fridays. Except most thursdays we'll have an early release? It's weird. Espcially since in past years we had the plain and simple 6 hours a day. And now I have all these different lunches, it's insane. My classes are different this year too now that I got all my required classes out of the way. So I decided to take art as a junior. Yeah, bad idea. I walked into that class room and didn't recognize one single face. And do you know why that is? Because they stuck me with a bunch of annoying freshman (no offence to any lower classmen who may or may nt be reading this, don't take it personally.) I'm litterly the only junior in there. every single one of them is a freshman. BOO! It's gunna be a loooooooong year.

Katie's Departure!

Hey Everybody!

This is my first post on our new blog! i hope you enjoy :)

So tomorrow is the 18th of August and it is also the day i leave for my year long Belgium adventure! i take a plane to New York, then catch a plane a day later to Belgium!

Its all very exciting and sad at the same time. Saying goodbye to all my family and friends.. especially Sam and Mackenzie, was hard, but i know that they wish me the best of luck and they know that we will keep in touch.. this blog especially will keep us connected :)

i love you guys and know that ill be thinking of you often! and thanks for the readers for making all 3 of us excited when we see our flag counter numbers get bigger!

Hawaii

Just thought I'd post a few pictures from my family vacation to Hawaii. We stayed at the Royal Kahana in Maui. It was amazing! I loved it! The first picture is from the Royal Lahaina Luau. The was awesome. I really enjoyed it. Buff, shirtless, Hawaiian men in hula outfits. What's not to love? It was quite entertaining. The next picture is at Dragon Teeth? If thats what its called? I was trying to be Rafikki holding up baby Simba because I adore the lion King. But I didn't have a baby lion handy so behold the sacred plastic water bottle. The third is our rental car liscence plate. No state in the continental U.S. has that sweet of a liscense plate. I'm jealous. And the last is just me and my sisters. We got greeted at the air port with leis! It was cool. I say Mac and katie should put a couple pics on from their vacations since I'm the only one whose actually updated this thing... haha.

Our Summer So Far!

So I figured we need some documentation of our summer on this blog because our last days together are limited. =[ Plus none of us have really updated it since it was made. I will fix that.

Okay, so, first of all, we all went to Puerto Rico in June on a mission trip with our church. We were in Arecibo (if that's how you spell it) and it was through Youthworks. I think I speak for all of us when I say it was AMAZING and by far the highlight of my summer. I put some pictures on already. The kids in the picture were from my group, the Coqui group. There was a summer camp like thing at the Salvation Army, and that's where my group was the whole week. It was awesome and I miss the kids a lot lot! While I was there I got to do things such as learn some ti quan do, go to an awesome park with dinosaurs, watch movies in spanish, and lots of other awesome super cool stuff. Katie and Mac were in the same group and I'm sure they would love to tell you about their experience and share some of their pictures when they get the chance. :)

Next we all went to be junior councilers at Confircamp! Like 2 days after we got back from Puerto Rico. We all just emptied out puerto rico bags into the wash and then stuffed all of it back into our Confircamp bags. Haha. It was really hot, but we were pretty much used to being drenched in our own sweat after being in Puerto Rico. Other than that it was awesome! It brought back some memmories from when were middle school confircampers. And we got to be Romans in Romans and Christians! Woot!

I think I should document about how our blog got this super random and weird name. Once upon a time we had a coupon for Walgreens, so we went to Walgreens and bought our journal. Then I forgot to call shotgun so I had to sit in the back. I was deeply troubled by this fact until I saw a coupon for some McDonalds frappes on the floor. So I picked it up and said "Let's get us some frappes." Then Katie and Mac said "Okay!" So we went to Mcdonalds and ordered a caramel frappe and a chocalate one? I think? Well anyway the workers thought we were really wierd so we went back to Katie's car to drink them in peace. Then they were nasty and we came to the realization that none of us even like frappes. Quite the disappointment. Later that day we decided to make this blog and every name we tried was taken. We got real frustrated and just typed in frappesaregross, and believe it or not, it wasn't taken. It wasn't til after that we realized we forgot the "S" in frappes. But you know, whatever. We can have a weird blog if we want to. Then we all lived happily ever after... The End (true story)

After that Mac went to Philmont with our Venture Crew, and Katie went to DC with her family. I went to South Dakota. We were all very happy to see each other again because we were having major KatieSamMackenzie withdrawls. We got to go to Il Ritiro for a few days with the Good Shepherd girls! And you know what!?!? We went skinny dipping! It was great! Haha.

Now Mac's going on a cruise and Katie's having her going away party. =[ And I have to go to the VC beach party without them! lame. Then me and Katie are working in the nursery at VBS. Then I'm going to Hawaii with my family. Then school starts back up and Katie leaves for Belgium for a whole entire year! Mac and I are going to be having some major Katie withdrawls.
