So I figured we need some documentation of our summer on this blog because our last days together are limited. =[ Plus none of us have really updated it since it was made. I will fix that.
Okay, so, first of all, we all went to Puerto Rico in June on a mission trip with our church. We were in Arecibo (if that's how you spell it) and it was through Youthworks. I think I speak for all of us when I say it was AMAZING and by far the highlight of my summer. I put some pictures on already. The kids in the picture were from my group, the Coqui group. There was a summer camp like thing at the Salvation Army, and that's where my group was the whole week. It was awesome and I miss the kids a lot lot! While I was there I got to do things such as learn some ti quan do, go to an awesome park with dinosaurs, watch movies in spanish, and lots of other awesome super cool stuff. Katie and Mac were in the same group and I'm sure they would love to tell you about their experience and share some of their pictures when they get the chance. :)
Next we all went to be junior councilers at Confircamp! Like 2 days after we got back from Puerto Rico. We all just emptied out puerto rico bags into the wash and then stuffed all of it back into our Confircamp bags. Haha. It was really hot, but we were pretty much used to being drenched in our own sweat after being in Puerto Rico. Other than that it was awesome! It brought back some memmories from when were middle school confircampers. And we got to be Romans in Romans and Christians! Woot!
I think I should document about how our blog got this super random and weird name. Once upon a time we had a coupon for Walgreens, so we went to Walgreens and bought our journal. Then I forgot to call shotgun so I had to sit in the back. I was deeply troubled by this fact until I saw a coupon for some McDonalds frappes on the floor. So I picked it up and said "Let's get us some frappes." Then Katie and Mac said "Okay!" So we went to Mcdonalds and ordered a caramel frappe and a chocalate one? I think? Well anyway the workers thought we were really wierd so we went back to Katie's car to drink them in peace. Then they were nasty and we came to the realization that none of us even like frappes. Quite the disappointment. Later that day we decided to make this blog and every name we tried was taken. We got real frustrated and just typed in frappesaregross, and believe it or not, it wasn't taken. It wasn't til after that we realized we forgot the "S" in frappes. But you know, whatever. We can have a weird blog if we want to. Then we all lived happily ever after... The End (true story)
After that Mac went to Philmont with our Venture Crew, and Katie went to DC with her family. I went to South Dakota. We were all very happy to see each other again because we were having major KatieSamMackenzie withdrawls. We got to go to Il Ritiro for a few days with the Good Shepherd girls! And you know what!?!? We went skinny dipping! It was great! Haha.
Now Mac's going on a cruise and Katie's having her going away party. =[ And I have to go to the VC beach party without them! lame. Then me and Katie are working in the nursery at VBS. Then I'm going to Hawaii with my family. Then school starts back up and Katie leaves for Belgium for a whole entire year! Mac and I are going to be having some major Katie withdrawls.
